One of the members over at blogcatalog just wrote a note that is one of the best summaries of what makes up a good blog. Good enough that I just had to repeat it here.
For me a "good blog" is one where a new reader can tell, after reading about 25 to 50 words near the top of the page, what the post is about: and, preferably, why.
It’s one that uses enough graphics to make its point: and doesn’t use graphics that don’t.
A good blog
- Organizes information clearly
- Employs lean, focused writing
- Eschews Obfuscation
- Uses bulleted lists when appropraite
- Uses posts that stop when they are done communicating
I was going to add my thoughts, but after thinking about I decided I did not have any thoughts to add
Thanks Brian
