We all need to focus on quiet and the NOW… My mind is constantly working and this is quite difficult for me and I am sure many others to do. Clearing out the jumble of thoughts & feelings will help us to focus more clearly and also be more open to guidance. Sit quietly, relax by breathing deeply and slowly, stop thinking and just be… concentrate on your body and how it feels, follow the breath and focus on it….just enjoy peace. This is a great way to de stress. Then once you have reached the state of NOW (as I call it) you can focus on a problem you want to solve or just de stress and let go of the daily barrage of thoughts. Sometimes I do this to fall asleep because my mind is like the energizer bunny and just keeps going on and on… Mostly I try to use short quick techniques like this to keep it simple.
