Knowing When To Stop

After thirteen months of blogging for Where We Relax, I’m sorry to say that this is my last post. However, as regular readers of this blog will know, things have been going topsy-turvy in my life and I need to scale back on my work in order to get balanced again. This was a hard decision to make but in order to get more out of life, you do have to know when to let things go. I’m sure this blog’s administrator, John, has more writers lined up to keep Where We Relax going and help you manage your stress.

What’s Wrong?

Three things have lead me to this decision. First off, my migraines have worsened. I need to find out why I’m getting them more often. Secondly, my Mom’s health has worsened. I live with my Mom and am her caretaker and will need to devote more time to her care. And third, my Aunt (my Mom’s sister) has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Since she’s in her 80’s, prognosis for her is not good.

I could continue with this blog, but I wouldn’t be able to give it the attention to detail that you deserve. So I might as well bow out and make sure someone else gives you the attention you deserve.

So, What Have We Learned?

I hope that in these thirteen months of blog posts, you will have learned that stress is not an entirely evil thing, for in small doses stress can help you. Too much of anything is bad for you, even relaxation. Although you may not be able to control your circumstances, you are in complete control of how you react to those circumstances. That does make a big difference in your quality of life.

And I’ve hoped you’ve had a good laugh along the way.

As always, hope this helps.

Hey, I just came here for the first time and am hit with this sad post :(

Many people I know who bailed out of blogging for various personal reasons ended up starting smaller more personal and less pressured blogs… writing when they feel like it is kind of like a therapy for them.

I hope you sort some things out and find the time to get back to blogging.

This is not a way to escape yourself. I know there may be some clashes in your mind but it is the fact that only writing is a way to expose yourself in front of society (in your ways). Just keep in mind that someone needs your wordings on this blog land. So, think twice and come back.

We all should build some time into our days and weeks to just chill out. Our overly connected life styles have created electronic leashes that we think we must act on at the slightest vibration of our belt.

Good for you to step back and enjoy the lifestyle we have been blessed with today. Take care until our paths cross again.

It’s a real shame you’ve decided to stop blogging, but fair enough. Sometimes work can take over your leisure life, and that will only drive you crazy in the long run. Best of luck in whatever else you decide to do.

Learning how to relax is essential to living a long time. Favorite foods are one the best way I’ve found to relieve stress. Cooking or somewhere you know has the scent of the best food you’d like is a great way to relax. Using oils or scented candles also can really stimulate the mind and can have a very good psychological affect on your relaxation. If your senses can pick up the scent then your entire body can easily be placed in relaxation mode.

A good thing that can help out aromas in the kitchen, or scented candles or fruity http://www.handsonaromatherapy.com” rel=”nofollow”> oil fragrances is to have good air circulation in the room, apt. or house. Open a window, turn on a fan and let the house get filled with a nice scent that will set the mood for relaxation.

Good luck to you! I think it’s important that all bloggers, computer programmers and internet marketeers take a break every now and then from the computer. Sometimes, one can find themselves letting their lives slip by because of their fixation with the computer and technology; it’s hypnotizing. Nevertheless, may God bless you and your family.
