3b45862u[1]Sometimes when I’m home alone I put on a good upbeat CD and dance around my apartment. I love music and I love to move. It’s a natural thing for me to do to relax, relieve stress and have some fun. Did you know that something as fun as dancing could have health benefits?

Exercise doesn’t have to be a chore. You don’t have to be counting down the minutes until it’s over for it to be good for you. A half hour of dancing can burn between 200 and 400 calories depending on what kind of dancing you’re doing. Dancing helps gets your heart rate up so it increases heart health. It helps build muscle stretch and increase coordination. Whether you square dance, line dance or prefer the electric slide, dancing can give you increased health benefits.

When you dance you concentrate on dancing and this helps you forget your worries. Forgetting your worries is the best way to get rid of your stress.

If dancing alone in your living room is too weird for you, sign up for a dance class. Not only will you be getting the exercise you need and relieving stress, you’ll be meeting new people.

I meant to click 5 stars, not one. I dance in my living room or kitchen to an upbeat CD. :-)

I am not one for sports or athletics, but I enjoy dancing in my living room. I even remember my ballet barre exercises from childhood. What better exercise is there?

I love dancing to music from my generation the 80’s. It not only relieves stress but takes me back to nice memories. I just recently turned 40 on January 8th but this is no matter to me. It is nice to be my age and still able to dance and have fun like I used to. It is also that even when I was young I danced alone. The thing I figure is have fun and who cares about anyone else.
