Screaming Cuts Stress

man-anger-stress-computerSometimes when I feel overwhelmed with my life and the things going on around me I just scream. I really do. Screaming can be a good way to release tension and stress.

I’m not saying that you should scream at someone. Don’t yell at your kids to get rid of your tension. Don’t yell at the cashier in the store or a co-worker. If you went around doing that, no one would like you.

Go someplace where no one can hear you. Scream in your car. Scream into a pillow. Don’t shriek. Let the scream come from the bottom of your stomach and erupt from your mouth. This may sound crazy at first, but screaming can cut stress by 25%. It almost always makes me feel a little better.

I am glad I read your screaming comment. I thought I was going a little whacko. I was watching a movie about this girl who went nuts and killed a friend. I was coloring a ball of twine and I felt so tense I started screaming like a raging scream. Scared me. I acually do feel better like you said you did
