What Do You Really Want To Do With Your Life?

Women at Desk and WorriedThere are many people who give way too much time to a job they don’t really like. I became aware of this in college. When I was trying to decide what I wanted to major in, I decided to go around asking people whether they liked their jobs. I was surprised at how candid people were. A majority of them told me that they didn’t. They just kept their jobs because they needed the paycheck, the health insurance, the stability.

I have to admit that I’m just as guilty as the next person. There were times in my life when I kept a job I hated to maintain a certain lifestyle. When I realized that the job was eating up all the time I would normally have to enjoy that lifestyle, I knew that something had to change.

You’re thinking, “I can’t just up and quit my job. How would I survive?” That’s true. I’m not telling you to. You can start planning now to make a change. How do you know if you need to make a change?

  • The florescent lights in the office drain the life out of you
  • You wake up each morning and think, “Oh no, I have to go to work.”
  • You resent your boss
  • You count down the minutes to the end of the work day

These are just a few ways of knowing. How much better would your life be you didn’t feel like that? How much less stress would you have?

Sit down and make a list of your talents and hobbies. Do you have an area of expertise? Would you like to have one? Check out the earning potential in an interesting field. The sooner you start planning, the closer you are to getting the life you want.

Thank you, Lovelyn. Often times people have no idea what they would rather do. It is not in their nature to consider anything other than what they have–and may they retain the bliss of that ‘ignorance.’
    Peace and wonder,

Choose the easy, pay well, safe job. If the wrong job really pay you well, don’t quit. Just try a few thing like- learn more detail about the job (the more you know the more you like it), look at other worst job (you will be more thankfull), learn small life management (stress free), make your own game/competition/scorebord (keep you busy), start to make contact/friends (big world), get a hobby (other words for the thing/works that you love to do) and others. Doesn’t work ? change company not the job for me if you change the job, it depends on your luck, if ok fine if not you already waste half of your life and u gonna start to regret everything.
Good Luck (the only thing that we need most)
